Innovia Films UK has announced the development of a new biodegradable BOPP film product. Innovia's metallized cellulose film, Nature Flex, has high barrier and biodegradability, and has a high surface gloss required for kink packaging. Its high rigidity grade, Nature Flex E944, features good dimensional stability and low moisture sensitivity. In addition to Propafresh TG18 porous BOPP film with a thickness of 35 microns, the company is also developing films involving new polymer formulations that are suitable for fresh food packaging requiring long shelf life. Its grade TG1835 features higher air permeability than standard co-extruded BOPP film.
